About Sergejs

I believe that the knowledge I have can be helpful to other students working their way to receiving diploma. I was lucky enough to be inspired by my teachers to attain the degree in the STEM field, and try to inspire new students too. I hope that my contribution would help you with your current problems and bring you closer of achieving whatever you desire in the future.

About the lesson

I use a flexible approach combining implicit and explicit tutoring method. A sample lesson will be like... 1) We start with an initial assessment stage to identify a given student’s problem and missing concepts. 2) The identified knowledge gap is worked all the way through with a student with real-life examples to look at a problem from all angles. 3) A student is then given with a bunch of similar problems to harder ones to see if he/she can push acquired knowledge and apply it to different problems. I give follow up references and YouTube videos that may be helpful in understanding a given problem. Each lesson lasts 1 hour with a 15-20 initial assessment, intense teaching, and a 5-10 review. Lessons are problem specific, i.e. partial fractions or solving differential equations. I have had extensive tutoring experience to younger A-level students as well some topics for undergraduates. Here the latter part of students is more mature and hence the teaching is more about critical thinking than solving some easy problems. Lessons are good for A-level students or undergraduates that need help with subjects in STEM field.
