Teaching Statement
As teacher of computer science and mathematics, I think that students should develop a solid theoretical background, to be able to evaluate of what is taught and learn to seize opportunities to work in a constructive environment, interactive and collaborative. I think that very important ability that students should progress is intuition of problems. This is obtained through a deep comprehension of pure mathematics, applied mathematics and computer science. I am trying to let the students determine the nature of the problems for which they are developing the algorithm. In addition, it is important for students to assess the complexity of the problems they are trying to solve, and this is what is usually achieved only through experience. When I am teaching, I am trying to give to connect the theory by linking the field of application in which this subject is used. When I am teaching theory, I am trying to give the applications of this theoretical material in real life. It is not only a possibility to do the lecture interesting and relevant for current topic, but it creates the great interests to attend this subject for another students from different fields of science. I am also proposing for the students the Messages or blogs where they can find additional material connected to the subject. I like to utilize the different activities to increase the interest of students to the lecture material. Moreover, I am applying the technologies which contribute to promote the discussions, interactions, and collaborations, such as chat rooms or clickers in the classroom.
Teaching Experience: I have started teaching from 1996 at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (part-time), Moldova State University as lecturer, when I was PhD student. On the 01.09.98 I became the full time lecturer at the same Department. From 2004‐2011, I became the Associate Professor at the Moldova State University, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. During my pedagogical carrier I taught the different courses: Numerical Mathematics, Operational Systems, C/C++, Architecture and Assembler, Java, Security of Information and Cryptography, etc. The courses Cryptography and Information Security (for undergraduate students) and Security of Transaction Electronics (Master Degree Students) were elaborated. The three didactic materials (books) for students have been written. I was promoter for undergraduate and Master Degree thesis. There were around 60‐70 students on my course. I had around 15 hours’ lectures per week, and I was responsible for creating the assignments for exams. In 1999‐2004 years I participated as vice director of jury for Republican Olympiad in Computer Science in Moldova. I have passed the course “Introduction to University and College education (PhD course, UQAM)”. In 2017, I was working as Graduate Teaching Assistant, Department of Computer Science, UQAM, Montreal.
Future Goals. My dream is to become a professor at a pedagogical institution such as University or college. I believe great aspect of being a professor is that teaching is an important part of the job. I think that applying the new pedagogical methods and new technologies during the lectures will improve the quality of teaching. I'm glad to see how the evolution of university education leads us in the future.

About the lesson

My teacher approach is individual to every student. For me it is very important that student should understand the materials.
