About Ananya

I'm a Biochemistry student at King's College London, with a strong academic background that includes A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths, alongside GCSEs completed at a highly selective school. Having been through the rigours of competitive academic environments myself, I understand exactly what it takes to succeed at the 11+ level, from building strong foundations in reasoning and problem-solving to managing exam pressure with confidence. I'm passionate about helping younger students develop the skills, discipline, and self-belief needed to excel, and I bring both academic rigour and genuine enthusiasm to every session.

About the lesson

The first lesson focuses on identifying any particular weaknesses. I'll give the child a varied set of questions across the key areas, allowing us to discover their weak and strong spots together. From this, I'll create a tailored plan and we'll work through the identified weaknesses again and again until they become genuine strengths. Alongside academic skill-building, I place equal importance on developing confidence and a positive mindset towards learning, helping children feel capable and calm, not just prepared. Lessons can focus specifically on English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning, or Non-Verbal Reasoning depending on the child's individual needs, or cover all areas for a more well-rounded approach. I set homework after each lesson, which the child completes and sends back to me. I mark this before the next session, and we dedicate the first few minutes of each lesson to going through any mistakes together, ensuring nothing is left misunderstood and progress is continually reinforced.
