About Karen
"Live life and learn". This is my philosophy, and always has been.
I love to learn, and will never stop learning. However, half the fun of learning is being able to impart that knowledge to others, and watch them grow in confidence and ability, and use that knowledge to improve their lives and increase opportunities. I am a firm believer that if you are breathing, it is NEVER too late to learn. I will be with you on this very important journey; encouraging you to increase your knowledge, grow in confidence and unlock those doors to success.

My teaching methodology has always been that of an enabler. I give you the tools that you need and invite you to explore the language, by experimenting and practice. I encourage my students to ask questions, and never to be discouraged from asking those questions and making mistakes. This is how we all learn. My lessons will typically last one hour, but may be shorter, or longer, depending on individual needs.
I have "A" levels in English Literature and English Language, a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, a Masters Degree in Neurological Science and I also have QTS. In addition, I have a TEFL qualification.
I have taught for 15 years, in a variety of settings, including primary and secondary schools, private homes and prisons. Thus, I have a great deal of experience in teaching individuals from a variety of backgrounds and at different levels.
