• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  To me teaching is not just giving some hours to a learner, it is an emotion that connects me with my learner by helping them to grasp something new and extraordinary in an exciting and fun learning ways. It all started when I was in school, when I got a chance to play a role of teacher in a drama, and it was wonderful and appreciated by spectators and then I realised that I have an interest in this field.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  Whenever I teach I get inspired by the thought that I can make learners to know something new and also I get chance to learn from them too as learning is two ways process. And sowing a seed of interest towards learning among learners and make them successfully grow with a smile make me proud and motivate me to sow more seeds of learning.

• How does your work help society?

  I believe creating a culture in which learners feel a sense of belonging and engagement and providing positive role models for learners by demonstrating respect for each other treating everyone fairly. Also by shaping their opinions and help them with the skills and knowledge that they need to contribute to the improvement of society. Also expanding students' limits and push their creativity bring change in society.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  That would be my teacher. She was Enthusiastic, easy-going, friendly, approachable and committed to the growth of us, and who has polished me in such a way that I can spread wisdom among others.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Apart from teaching I have interest in writing. I have got published three times. Writing all forms of poems enlighten me from within.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  One day in my classroom, a student was despondent about the thought that she can't race her peers as she is a slow learner. I encourage her that the sun of victory resides in our heart, we need to identify and have faith on ourselves and do practice beyond the limits as faith and hardwork makes a turtle win the match.
