About Theresa
I am a dedicated and experienced teacher with a strong passion for helping students grow in confidence and ability. I studied at the University of South Africa, where I completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education. With nine years of international teaching experience, I have worked extensively with ESL learners from diverse cultural backgrounds. This experience has equipped me with effective teaching strategies and a deep understanding of how to support students in developing their English skills in a clear, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

My online English lessons are designed for children aged 6–12 and ESL (English as a Second Language) learners. As a native speaker of both English and Afrikaans, I can teach and explain concepts in either language
Lessons are adapted to each student’s level and interests to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. My teaching methodology focuses on communicative learning and includes elements of the Talk for Writing approach, helping students build strong sentence structure, expand vocabulary, and express their ideas confidently.
In each lesson students can expect:
• Interactive conversations to build speaking confidence
• Vocabulary activities and sentence-building practice
• Fun learning with pictures, stories, and visual prompts
• Encouraging feedback to support progress
