About Julie
I come from the French-speaking part of Switzerland and I completed a Masters in History of Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London (awarded with the classification of a Distinction). I am currently working on my PhD thesis in the History of Art Department of UCL in London and have been collaborating with the Cultural Department of the Magnum Photos Agency since autumn 2015, as well as individual photographers and students.
I am highly motivated and dedicated to teaching the subjects I am passionate about. My work as a museum lecturer at the Hermitage Foundation, and as a teacher in visual arts and history of art at the School of Art Têtard (both in Switzerland) was greatly appreciated by the teams I worked for, as I demonstrated a strong ability to transmit my knowledge to a diverse audience in a positive and accessible way. I look forward to meeting new students who would need help in French, Visual Literacy, Photography and History of Art!
