With over a decade of experience working with dogs — including 10 years at SF Puppy Prep — I bring both science and practical know-how to every lesson. My background in ecology, behavior, and evolution and exotic animal care gives me a strong understanding of why dogs behave the way they do, and I combine that knowledge with effective, positive training methods. I’ve worked extensively with puppies, rescue dogs, and family pets, so I understand the unique challenges that come with each stage of life. My training is results-driven and designed to make life easier — focusing on clear communication, smart reinforcement strategies, and proactive training that prevents problems before they start. As a mom and lifelong dog lover, I know how important it is to create a peaceful home where dogs and people thrive together. I specialize in helping families and first-time dog owners feel confident handling everything from puppy basics to managing excitement on walks. About the lesson

My lessons are designed to give you and your dog practical, real-world skills in a way that fits your life—whether you prefer training online or in person. I focus on building a solid foundation with clear commands and behavior modification techniques, including but not limited to:
• Loose Leash Walking: Teaching your dog to walk calmly by your side without pulling.
• Leave It: Helping your dog ignore distractions and unwanted items.
• Basic Commands: Sit, down, and stand for clear, consistent obedience.
• Barking Management: Strategies to curb excessive barking and keep your dog calm.
• Go-to-Mat: Training your dog to settle on a designated spot, perfect for moments when you need a break.

I particularly prefer online sessions, where I can use lots of high-value treats and real-time feedback to keep your dog engaged and motivated. My approach is positive, fun, and rooted in science—ensuring that every lesson not only teaches a command but also strengthens the bond between you and your dog.
