About Sabikunnaher

Hi, I am Sabiha, an enthusiastic and friendly individual keen to make learning easier and enjoyable for students. Having achieved 7 9s and 3 8s in my GCSEs (10A*) and A*A*A for my A-levels (English Literature, Biology and Chemistry), I am confident in my ability to support pupils struggling in the sciences and English from years 3 to 11. Having been through the education system, I know how hard it is to analyse texts and write an essay, think of creative writing techniques, or understand complex concepts in the sciences - and so have gathered the best methods and top tips to achieve the highest grades, which I would like to share with you.

About the lesson

I have assisted and tutored students for more than 2 years, whilst also being a peer mentor and volunteering at an SEN school, thus understanding the importance of adapting my communication and teaching style for personalised approaches. I have collated the best methods to study and teach effectively, making sessions productive and enjoyable. A typical 1hr lesson with me would begin with a discussion of previous homework set or recap on the lesson the week before. I will then go on to explain or work through examples of topics the pupil has expressed difficulty with, providing resources and thorough examples on how to address the issue. In the last part of the session, I will let the pupil work through questions themselves, assisting them with any difficulties and addressing any problems that arise. To completely consolidate what has been learnt, I will set homework either on specific content revision or questions. I plan and organise the lessons thoroughly to make sure any concerns have been fully addressed, and am always happy to be sent any questions or queries from the student throughout the week.
