About Tyler

I am a very friendly, outgoing enthusiastic, 27 year old from North London with a passion for teaching and helping young people reach their full potential!

I specialise in assisting primary school students pass the challenging 11 plus exams and receive places at the leading secondary schools across London.

With regards to my academic credentials, I attended Queen Elizabeth’s Boy’s School in Barnet, North London, one of the leading secondary schools in the UK. I was required to pass the challenging 11+ entrance exams to be accepted into the grammar school. Therefore I have experience and a wealth of knowledge in how to pass them. I have also had the privilege of learning from the best teachers in the country and I am able to use their innovative teaching techniques on my students.
Upon finishing secondary school I attended the University of Nottingham, to study Politics and International Relations and I recently graduated with first class honours. As the below grades illustrate, I have consistently excelled academically, and I am willing and able to pass on my knowledge to keen learners!

GCSE: 7 A* 3 A’S 2 B’s (Maths, History, English Literature, Science, Additional Science, R.S, I.C.T , Economics, English Language, Geography, P.E. German)
AS LEVEL: 4 A’s (English Literature, History, Politics, Economics with Business)
A LEVEL: 1 A*, 2 A’s (History, Politics, Economics with Business)

UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE: First Class honours (Politics and International Relations BA)

About the lesson

I am a very patient tutor who has a strong appreciation of the value of building a rapport with his students in order to get the most effort out of them. I motivate and inspire my students whilst pushing them to maximise their academic potential.

I create a personal experience for each of my students creating individual lesson plans tailored specifically to their goals. I complement each of my lessons by setting weekly homework based on textbook and exam style questions and I am easily contactable if any issues arise outside of lesson time.

Typical length of a lesson is one hour. I have over three years experience.
