About Laura
My name is Laura and I am a native English speaker. I was born and educated in England and have a first-class degree from the University of Sheffield in Politics and Sociology. In October I am continuing my studies to a masters level in International Development.
During my time in school I taught creative drama classes and loved teaching and helping students. I have also mentored four younger students at university, helping them to settle into university life and helping them with their university work. I love helping and teaching people and make an excellent tutor, listening to the needs of the tutee and adjusting my teaching style accordingly.

My teaching method is subject to the students I teach, based on their personal learning styles (e.g. visual, audio or kinetic) I devise lesson plans to suit the students and ensure they are engaged and understand what is being taught.
During my time at university, I have tutored secondary school and GCSE students, which has always been successful. Alongside this, I mentor undergraduate university students which means that I understand both the academic and emotional sides to education and my teaching reflects this.
