About Krista
I am a published poet and playwright, and recently finished my Ph.D in English at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I recently moved to Pittsburgh, PA.
I have been teaching at the university level for six years, and have given creative writing lessons for K-12 students weekly for two years.
At the university, I have taught creative writing, British and American literature, and composition classes. I am able to tutor in creative writing, literature, and essay writing.

My teaching method is mentorship and practice. I believe the best writers are the best readers, and I offer lessons that integrate both, while working to create a dialogue about the material, in order to better help the student understand and articulate themselves in writing.
As a professor who has taught many different classes in English, I can tailor each lesson to the individual needs of each student.
