About Michal
I am finishing a PhD in Biochemistry, in which I studied the chemistry of the yam genus. I also have an MSc in Medicinal Natural Products and Phytochemistry from UCL School of Pharmacy. Prior I had obtained a BA in Chemistry with a minor in biology.
Before starting my PhD I worked at Kew, Royal Botanic Gardens as a research assistant, conducting chemical analysis of plant material.
I also have practical experience with food chemistry, having briefly worked in the flavours and fragrances industry.
I have taught science to children at a summer camp and designed fun experiments and lessons for them.

I gauge the student's interest level first then I work from there to determine ability as well as knowledge in the subject. I keep positive, energetic, and encourage students to not give up.
I teach Chemistry up to A-levels. I believe practice problems are key to mastering the subject and will prepare practice problems with answer-explanations for students to attempt to ensure they can apply the concepts into action for exams.
