About Kathryn
I have been giving lessons intermittently for 5 years, teaching in the genres of classical, jazz, blues, classic rock and pop.

I am an accomplished musician teaching piano, guitar, and music theory lessons to students of all levels.
I have been playing piano since the age of 5 (16 years) and have taken lessons for 12 years, and since then have performed at multiple venues and events.
I am a self-taught guitarist, with 6 years of guitar playing experience.
Aside from my experience as a performer, I have also completed 4 courses in music theory at the undergraduate level.
I like to have fun with teaching and am willing to teach whatever the student wants to learn. Whether it be reading music or learning a song, I often follow the student's lead. I am very patient and have no expectations of the student, except that they learn what they wish to learn and have fun doing it!
