About Paige
I am an enthusiastic piano tutor with 9 years of professional experience, having successfully taught around 300 students. My learners include teenagers, college students, and adults pursuing personal growth, performance goals, or exam preparation.
My teaching philosophy focuses on building strong technical foundations while fostering musical expression. I emphasise posture, hand coordination, finger independence, scales, rhythm, sight-reading, and music theory. I help students understand how to interpret and emotionally connect with their pieces.
Lessons are structured to balance technique, repertoire, and theory. Beginners build confidence through foundational exercises and simple pieces, while advanced students refine performance skills and explore complex compositions. Many students have achieved excellent results in examinations and performed confidently in recitals.
My mission is to guide students towards becoming confident, expressive, and independent pianists who enjoy their musical journey.

My methodology for teaching piano combines flexibility, collaboration, positivity, and personalised instruction. I begin by understanding the student’s strengths, weaknesses, and musical goals. Based on this, I design lessons that suit their individual learning style.
I focus on developing technical skills such as scales, chord progressions, timing control, and expressive playing. I teach students how to practise effectively and manage their time. If they struggle with certain techniques, I introduce alternative exercises to simplify the learning process.
Collaboration keeps students actively involved. I encourage them to ask questions and share feedback. Together, we monitor progress and celebrate improvements. A positive approach builds confidence and keeps students motivated.
Beyond piano, I also teach music theory, keyboard skills, harmony, and beginner composition. These subjects support piano learning and help students understand the structure and beauty of music more deeply.
