About Sam
Hello! My name is Sam Adams. I absolutely love music and sharing that joy with other people. I recently relocated to Los Angeles after performing professionally in the East Tennessee music scene for the last ten years. I have played in a wide variety of jazz, funk, pop, R&B, gospel, and Afro-Cuban groups. I received my Master of Music degree from the University of Tennessee in 2022. I'm excited to help you achieve your musical goals!

I like to meet students where they are - what songs/techniques do you want to learn? We can start there. I firmly believe that students thrive when they are working on music that they like to listen to.
A typical lesson with me involves a mix of playing a song/part of a song, working through some technique and music theory, and setting up a successful practice routine.
I have experience teaching all levels and ages of students.
