About Asti

I have taught music for 10 years with a specialization in piano. I started out as a classically-trained pianist in 1999. I got my bachelor's degree in Educational Psychology from Universitas Indonesia in 2016. During my study, I was actively involved in student choir as a pianist and arranger. I studied music composition and film-scoring in 2016-2018 at Sjuman School of Music. I have worked with a lot of musicians to produce arrangements and original music, as well as teaching piano and vocal students.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Asti. I offer online piano lessons for beginner to advanced students, using a flexible, self-paced approach. My teaching focuses on developing complete musicianship—combining technique, repertoire, music theory, and aural skills.

As Zoltán Kodály said, “A good musician should have a well-trained ear, a well-trained intelligence, a well-trained heart, and a well-trained hand.” This philosophy guides how I structure my lessons: not only learning to play the piano, but learning to truly listen, understand, and express music.

Students may choose their favorite songs to learn on the piano, and I provide custom arrangements or music sheets tailored to individual needs and levels. As an experienced composer and arranger, I can also guide students who are interested in creating their first original composition.

Each lesson lasts approximately 30 minutes and typically includes: - 1. Finger warm-ups and technical exercises; 2. Repertoire and lesson book material (songs and theory); 3. Short listening and singing exercises to strengthen musicality and ear training

I’m based in Indonesia (ICT / GMT+7). Please let me know your time zone when scheduling a lesson.
