About Ryan
I have been teaching on and off this year, currently have 4 students. My students have been learning fingerings, learning to identify notes on the staff and connect it to their instrument, I instill rhythm and make sure the student counts when the rhythm is falling off

For beginning piano students I use the book Alfred Piano Book 1. I go thru the book from the beginning and see how the student progresses. If I see the students needs something (more practice reading the bass clef), I will supplement the material with pieces from other books, reading methods, and anything else I come up with that seems to help. For more advanced students I delve into the pieces the student is currently working on and try to help clean up the spots that could need more attention. From there I can go into different topics to help the learning and attention to it.
