About Thomas
I have a deep love for the sciences and a genuine passion for teaching them to others. I am currently attending college for a degree in physics that I will use to teach high school physics and possibly chemistry. I have experience tutoring both my peers in college and younger children in elementary and middle school.

I am a firm believer in not just being able to solve a problem, but instead being able to explain the steps you took in order to solve it—this is how you can best retain and apply the information that you have learned.
I would start a lesson by having the student explain to me what they already know and what they're currently having trouble with and why. Once I have a better understanding of where this individual is at, I can start building on what they know step by step until they can comfortably tackle the issues they initially found challenging.
Despite still being in college, I have tutored before and understand that there is no single best approach when it comes to helping someone learn. Additionally my career goal is to teach physics and potentially chemistry at the high school level, so I will be dedicated to doing the best that I can with each student as this is what I am passionate about.
Any lesson I would give would be for anyone that is up to their first or second year in college for math, physics, and chemistry.
