About Sudipta

Hi! I’m Sudipta, a Physics tutor with a strong academic and research background. I studied Physics at NIT Agartala, where I ranked first in my institute. I’ve also gained research experience in astrophysics, gravitational-wave data analysis, and experimental high-energy physics through academic work at IISER Kolkata and IIT Madras.

I enjoy teaching because I like making difficult ideas simple and helping students understand the reasoning behind the formulas rather than simply memorizing them. In my lessons, I focus on clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and building strong fundamentals.

Outside academics, I enjoy exploring new areas of Physics, solving challenging problems, and learning about the Universe and modern scientific research.

I look forward to helping you become more confident and curious about Physics!

About the lesson

My teaching approach is centered on helping students understand Physics clearly and systematically. I focus on building concepts from the fundamentals, explaining the reasoning behind equations and derivations, and then applying those ideas through carefully selected problems.

I have developed my teaching skills through explaining Physics concepts and solving problems in an academic setting, with particular emphasis on making difficult topics easier to understand. I adapt my explanations according to the student’s current level, whether they need to strengthen basic concepts, prepare for examinations, or develop a deeper understanding of university-level Physics.

My academic background is in Physics, with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and a strong foundation across classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, waves and oscillations, optics, modern physics, quantum mechanics, mathematical physics, and introductory astrophysics and particle physics.

In lessons, I use a concept-first methodology. I typically begin by identifying the student’s existing understanding and any gaps in their fundamentals, then explain the topic step by step before moving to examples and problem solving. I encourage students to ask questions, derive results rather than memorize them, and develop a structured approach to solving unfamiliar problems.

I can adapt lessons to the student’s syllabus, learning pace, and specific goals, including school-level Physics, competitive-exam preparation, and introductory university Physics.

I do not currently rely on a teaching certificate as my main qualification; my teaching is supported by my formal Physics education, strong subject knowledge, and practical experience explaining and working through Physics problems with other learners.
