About Vera
My interest in physics began with a fascination for understanding how the universe operates and a curiosity about the underlying principles behind natural phenomena. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Physics and an M.Sc in Astrophysics, providing a solid foundation in both classical and modern physics. Over 9 years, I have guided learners at all levels, emphasising clarity, conceptual understanding, and the development of analytical problem-solving abilities.
I approach teaching with patience, structured guidance, and practical engagement. Lessons emphasise building strong conceptual frameworks, interactive problem-solving, and connecting abstract principles to real-world observations. I encourage curiosity, independent inquiry, and logical reasoning in all learners.
Beyond the classroom, I remain actively engaged in physics research, astronomical studies, and experimental analysis. Witnessing students progress from tentative understanding to confident mastery, solving challenging problems independently, is immensely rewarding. Supporting learners in becoming knowledgeable, confident, and inquisitive about the physical world is the most fulfilling aspect of my teaching.

Physics lessons are crafted to make abstract concepts intuitive, applicable, and engaging. I cover classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, waves, optics, quantum mechanics, and relativity, using a combination of theory, visual demonstrations, and practical experiments. Lessons aim to build strong conceptual understanding alongside problem-solving skills, enabling students to confidently analyse and interpret physical phenomena in real-world contexts.
I design lessons for every level of learner. Beginners start with fundamental principles, simple calculations, and hands-on demonstrations to cultivate intuitive understanding. Intermediate learners tackle derivations, multi-step problems, and conceptual applications, while advanced learners engage in complex analysis, experimental design, and advanced theoretical concepts. Each lesson includes stepwise guidance, interactive problem-solving, and personalised feedback to reinforce understanding and skill.
Physics instruction also develops critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and intellectual curiosity. Students gain confidence in approaching new problems, reasoning logically, and connecting abstract ideas to observable phenomena. My goal is to create an inspiring and supportive learning environment where learners feel empowered to explore, question, and master the fundamental laws governing the physical world.
