About Jake
My passion for physics began with curiosity about how the universe functions from everyday motion to cosmic phenomena. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Physics followed by an M.Sc in Quantum Mechanics, equipping me with both practical and theoretical understanding. Over the past 9 years, I have taught physics to students at multiple levels, creating lessons that emphasise clarity, patience, and concept-driven understanding.
I focus on providing structured, approachable teaching that builds confidence and independent reasoning. I break down complex topics into manageable steps, use real-world analogies and visual aids, and encourage students to ask questions and experiment with ideas. My goal is to make physics understandable and intellectually stimulating, fostering curiosity and self-assurance.
Beyond teaching, I continue exploring scientific developments, conducting small experiments, and staying updated with modern physics research. Teaching physics is deeply rewarding because I see learners transform from uncertainty to clarity, gaining skills that extend beyond the classroom. My aim is to cultivate learners who are not only proficient but also curious, confident, and capable of independent analytical thinking.

Physics becomes more approachable when learners connect abstract principles with everyday observations, experiments, and practical examples. In my lessons, I guide students through classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, waves, and modern physics concepts with patient explanation, visual illustrations, and interactive exercises. I focus on developing conceptual clarity, helping learners understand why phenomena behave as they do, not just how to solve equations. Every session includes problem-solving, guided reasoning, and supportive feedback to strengthen both understanding and confidence. My aim is to make physics engaging, intellectually stimulating, and accessible to learners at all levels.
Lessons are tailored to the student’s current knowledge and comfort. Beginners explore fundamental laws, simple calculations, and intuitive reasoning about motion and energy. Intermediate learners develop skills in circuit analysis, mechanics problem-solving, and wave interpretation. Advanced learners delve into electromagnetism, quantum principles, and deeper theoretical applications. Each session combines conceptual teaching, applied examples, and structured practice to ensure consistent growth and comprehension.
