About Joseph
In order to be confident in your learning you have to feel comfortable with your instructor and be open in your communication when struggling. I feel I am a very relaxed individual when I teach and I will always explain a topic in numerous ways using various strategies in teaching so that you feel well rounded in your knowledge and application of physics. Do not ever feel scared to ask a question or to elaborate on something. Physics is extremely hard to understand and I have had numerous success stories from students who hated physics and went on to become Engineers. Maybe that can be you but at the end of the day, you will leave my lessons feeling more confident and less stressed than when you entered.

The difficulty with physics is understanding the concepts and the "why" to a situation or scenario. I believe working on the foundation and building that strong foundation will make you feel confident as a student in problem solving. I like to start each lesson by discussing the misconceptions, and building or working on the foundation by relating what we are doing to previous units/topics or something in every day life that the student can relate to. By making you a confident physics student it will allow you to take on those challenging timed exams and make you feel empowered to achieve your goals.
