About Frederik
Hello there! My name is Frederik and I look forward to tutoring you in Maths and Physics :) I am currently reading a Master's in Physics at the University of Edinburgh. My A Levels were Maths (A*), Physics (A*) and Further Maths (A). I also have an AS in Chemistry. I am a member of the James Clerk Maxwell Foundation and a keen musician. Throughout my life, I have enjoyed helping others to learn and experience the joys of Maths and Physics as I passionate about these subjects, and my enthusiasm comes across in my teaching. Having recently finished high school myself, I am approachable and very in touch with the current curriculum and the kind of teaching methods that students nowadays benefit from most.

My previous tutoring experience was in-person, however, during the pandemic, I helped my classmates over Zoom and Teams whenever they were struggling. I always received positive feedback from them, and that I was able to break down complicated topics into easy language. Their final grades improved. I am therefore confident I will be able to help you understand and progress in your studies. I am very happy to tutor at any high school level and any exam board. I am flexible, but I believe that 45 minute sessions are most productive. My teaching methods include video call discussions and worked examples/past papers using screen sharing. However, I am happy to use any method that you find useful. I am calm, supportive and patient, and above all determined to help you succeed. I am confident you will leave each session feeling that you have progressed!
