About Luise

I'm Luise, I'm 22 years old and I'm currently in my 6th semester studying physics at the LMU. Currently I am writing my bachelor thesis in the field of solid state physics. I have been tutoring math and physics for 6 years. Through my many years of experience, I have learned to explain complex structures as easily and diversified as possible and always with success.
I have seen many times over the past few years how students who thought they were bad at math have thrived on arithmetic when they could study without pressure in a relaxed atmosphere.
It's always nice to celebrate these small successes and to see how the students become more self-confident.

About the lesson

I am convinced that every student can have a great understanding of math if the material is dealt with at an appropriate pace.

That's why it's important for me in private lessons to respond to the individual needs of the students. We accommodate different learning styles, backgrounds and preferences. In contrast to frontal teaching at school, we will learn together. In a relaxed learning atmosphere, there are no stupid questions! :)

The focus will be on two things: understanding and application.
At school, it often happens that students only memorize certain types of exercises. If the problem is slightly changed, they won't get any further. That's why it's very important for me not just to learn the formulas, but to understand the logical background comprehensively. After that, in my opinion, you need one thing above all in math: practice. That's why I want to calculate many problems in order to get routine in these applications. You are welcome to bring your own homework or exercises to adapt the learning style to the teacher.

With my many years of experience, it's easy for me to recognize where there are gaps from previous classes so that we can close them together in a targeted manner. This not only makes current lessons easier, but also learning new subject matter.

In the short term, of course, the goal will be to get a better grade in the next school assignment or to do a very good Abitur exam.
In the long run, I want to teach how students can learn science independently in the future - without support. It's always nice to see how the students learn to approach tasks with confidence, to formulate them precisely and to have fun with arithmetic again.
