About Christopher

I am a 1st class Physics with Philosophy postgraduate from the University of Sheffield. With key interests in quantum and atomic physics, mechanics and mathematics.

I received A*A*A in physics, maths and chemistry at college level.
So am able to teach high level physics, maths, chemistry.

At college I was honored with the Physic's student of the year award for my first year efforts and then Chemistry student of the year for my second year result.
The professors who presented me with these awards said it was due to my consistent question asking and spending time with them after class-I must have delayed their home time but it worked for me!

I've taught mathematics at primary schools from years 1 to 6, and tutored ages online from 6 years old to 30 years old, across different range of levels

About the lesson

Here to inspire, I love physics and enjoy teaching the mystical, crazy aspects of it.

So I love questions, especially those that go beyond the aspects of our learning, I find that sometimes the best questions seem the most simplest.
So I encourage question asking throughout my lessons, it also makes sure the student is following what's going on.

And I love philosophy, which closely relates to much of the physics I enjoy and has helped my teaching approach no end.

I tend to focus on getting creative and unique in class, with diagrams and metaphors to begin to explain physical systems or mathematical problems.

I find this way of not just regurgitating a book means we can really understand what it is we're learning, not just memorise. We'll begin to see the importance and, in a sense, logical way physics and maths operate/

I enjoy building relationships with my tutees, to understand where they want their study to take them, how they're feeling now about their future, what their key interests are, I find it really helps motivate and allows for an important tutor-student experience
