About Steve
I have a PhD in Biomedical Physics from the University of Exeter. I studied Physics for my undergraduate degree to a Master's level, receiving first-class honours. At A-Level I achieved an A* in maths, further maths and physics, along with an A in chemistry.
I am a very relaxed person and understand that the best learning takes place when we are our most comfortable. As well as teaching concepts to a high level I take care to understand how each student thinks and help them plan their own independent study to empower an academic future far beyond my time with them.

I use more of a question-based approach instead of a lecturing style. This ensures I understand how a student thinks and keeps them more engaged. This also helps make concepts stick if the student feels like they arrived at the answer on their own.
In my experience, 60 - 90 minutes is the optimal lesson time, keeping introductions short to focus on the important aspects of a lesson.
I have been very successful with undergraduate university students and am very happy to teach anywhere from GCSE to first year university level.
