About Dáire
Both of my parents are teachers, my father a maths teacher, and so I have grown up in a house where getting information across clearly is a priority. It is this fact that makes me a good tutor. Even when I was at school, my peers would approach me to help them with their Maths and Physics homework. The enjoyment I got out of helping them understand concepts and seeing them progress was second to none. After university I plan on applying for a to do a secondary teaching degree, so tutoring is also a massive help for me to gain experience.

I am a final year Physics with Astrophysics student at the University of Glasgow who has been tutoring privately and for family for a number of years. The topics that are worked on most are those which the students already struggle with, but a strong foundation will be laid across the whole syllabus for the subject. Lessons can be as long or as short as required, typically though, 1-2 hours is usually sufficient and a diminishing rate of information absorption is seen after the 2 hour mark.
