About Matthew
I have recently finished my final year as a physics masters student at the University of Warwick, where I undertook research in medical physics. I have previously taught a handful of students for their GCSE's, and was able to boost their grades by an entire level from their expected grades. I am passionate about physics and maths; I hope that I will be able to not only improve your child's knowledge of these subjects, but also develop a genuine interest and passion in them.
My typical teaching structure involves three main parts:
1) You tell me a particular topic you are struggling with and would like to improve.
2) I deliver a lecture on the topic, with the aim to improve and deepen your understanding. I will also create a problem sheet, ranging from easy to hard, for you to attempt.
3) I will go through the problem sheet with you and see what, if any, areas need more work.
Of course, I am also available to help understand and grade questions and past papers that students may encounter during their own independent work. Also, if you do not know where to start revising, I can look at the syllabus and decide the order for you. I aim to make the process of learning as simple and streamlined as possible for you.
