About David
I have 5 years of experience where my primary jobs were teaching related - tutoring individuals and groups in math and physics, teaching college-level labs, and working as an instructional resource technician that setup physical demonstration equipment for classes. My favorite subjects are introductory physics, chemistry and calculus, since this is where many skills become integrated from earlier education and have demonstrable application to students.

I teach physics from a conceptual standpoint first and mathematical second, since the models in our heads are often the first thing that needs adjusting, and not our understanding of algebra. The best way to teach is often with drawings and some interactive conceptual exploration of how the student thinks something might work, and after assessing where gaps in understanding are present, addressing them methodically.

Details
I do not tutor for free, however this platform seems to think that because I am new to it and don't have registered reviews, that I should offer free initial lessons in order to garner them. Given that I worked hard for my degree and knowledge set, I won't be offering free lessons despite the fact that the system does not allow me to "un-check" that option.
