About Kira

I am an experienced tutor, backed by a strong quantitative academic background and years of supporting learners aged 4 to 16. My approach centres around making abstract concepts tangible through real-world applications, breaking down complex multi-step problems, and building the conceptual fluency students need to excel.

I tutor because I love working directly with students to turn moments of frustration into genuine breakthroughs. One-to-one tuition allows me to adapt entirely to each learner's unique pace, dismantle common misconceptions, and provide the patient, targeted encouragement that transforms self-doubt into academic resilience. With hands-on experience in both individual tuition and secondary school settings, I am committed to creating a supportive environment where students feel empowered to master their chosen subject and achieve their full potential.

About the lesson

My lessons are structured, interactive, and tailored to each student’s unique pace and learning style. Rather than relying on passive listening or memorisation, I design every session to build deep conceptual understanding, active problem-solving skills, and independent confidence.
I maintain a calm, encouraging, and supportive environment where mistakes are treated as essential learning opportunities. Having tutored students aged 4 to 16 for years alongside formal secondary school placement experience, I adapt explanations dynamically in real time.
I personalise every session to match each student's unique learning style as we progress. Lessons remain flexible, and I welcome student-led requests to ensure we focus on the specific topics, concepts, or homework questions where they need support most.
