About Keira
My fascination with physics began in childhood, inspired by the natural world’s intricate patterns and hidden laws. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Theoretical Physics, where I explored mechanics, thermodynamics, and quantum theory in depth. Over the past 10 years, I have guided students from basic understanding to advanced conceptual mastery, creating lessons that emphasise clarity, engagement, and practical application.
I focus on connecting abstract principles to tangible examples, using diagrams, simulations, experiments, and real-life scenarios. My teaching approach encourages questions, exploration, and critical thinking, helping learners develop analytical skills alongside conceptual understanding. I prioritise patience, clarity, and adaptability to ensure every student can progress at their own pace and style.
Beyond the classroom, I stay engaged with the latest physics research, experimental techniques, and educational innovations. This allows me to integrate contemporary examples and applications into lessons, enhancing relevance and excitement. My physics lessons are designed to demystify complex phenomena and make scientific concepts relatable and engaging. I cover classical mechanics, thermodynamics, waves, electromagnetism, and an introduction to quantum mechanics. Lessons combine conceptual explanations, visual aids, interactive experiments, and real-world examples to encourage deep understanding. I emphasise reasoning and exploration, ensuring students grasp the why behind formulae and principles, rather than rote memorisation. Each session is structured to build confidence while encouraging curiosity and independent thinking.
For beginners, lessons focus on foundational concepts, including forces, motion, energy, and simple problem-solving techniques. Intermediate students explore multi-step derivations, complex experiments, and analytical reasoning. Advanced learners tackle challenging topics such as theoretical modelling, data interpretation, and experimental analysis.
