About Jenul

I am a gap year student who grew up in regional Victoria and is currently residing in Adelaide. I graduated from Ballarat and Clarendon College in 2022 after an amazing year full of amazing experiences. Long term, my goal is to pursue psychiatry, although I understand that life is full of big changes and I'm honestly just glad to be here and see how it goes.

About the lesson

Adelaide-based tutor who understands that academic performance is influenced in huge part by mentality, attitude towards learning and test anxiety.

My focus is both the theory knowledge required in these subjects as well as appropriate study habits and other factors such as test anxiety.

Thus, my teaching will cover the basic strategies that I used throughout year 12, if they are helpful, and more importantly the strategies that you can use to find the approach that works with your unique way of thinking.

Relevant life experience/achievements:
-Graduated from Ballarat and Clarendon College, Victoria's #1 Ranked School in 2022 as School Captain with an ATAR of 99.85
-VCE Premier's Award in Further Mathematics
-Vice Chancellor's Award for Academic Excellence from RMIT University
-Lifeline trainee Crisis Supporter, managing imminent suicides as well as a variety of other crises.
-Basic training in the Royal Australian Air Force prior to my prospective career change to medicine, with training in discipline, mindset and basic military skills as well as an understanding the importance of unity.
-Raw study scores (VCE) for Chem, Literature, Spec, Methods, Further, and Physics of 49, 48, 39, 41, 49 and 48 respectively.

----------LESSON DETAILS----------
I will do a 30 minute completely free session where we discuss your goals, study habits and delve a bit into your expectations to explore if we are a good fit; there is nothing worse than being stuck with a tutor you don't mesh with, let alone being charged for it.

From there all I need from you is an open mind and blocks of 1-2 hour sessions weekly until you are confident enough to develop your abilities independently, because at the end of the day it's just you and your nerves in the exam room. However, if you would like long-term ongoing support I am flexible too.

If you happen to live in Adelaide, I can much more easily discern your approach and environment in person than I would be able to online. If you are close by, I suggest making use of that.

Despite starting UCAT preparation (extremely) late, Jenul had exceptional planning in his mini tutorials, such that I could easily catch up. He helped me become confident in all the sections in a short amount of time which allowed me to sit the real exam without any stress. Even after the exam, he offered me guidance moving forward.
