About Joey
My name is Joseph Mezzetti, I'm a senior undergraduate physics and mathematics major at the University of Florida with a 3.90 GPA, and I have been tutoring these subjects for 4 years. I am genuinely extremely passionate about math and physics, and there isn't a single thing I love more than sharing this passion with others. Tutoring, for me, has been a wonderful opportunity to educate others on the topics that I love. I am extremely up to date on all manner of math/physics topics, as studying them is my hobby, and I promise I can help you understand them better, as well.

As a tutor, I am a very strong believer in understanding over memorization. While memorizing formulas and equations can be useful, it is imperative to gain true intuition to be an A+ student in mathematics or physics. As a senior physics and mathematics major at the University of Florida, I am confident that I can guide students to effortlessly work with and understand any math or physics concept, whether that be beginning physics 1, or quantum mechanics, algebra 1, or calculus 3.
A typical lesson taught be me will begin with a brief discussion about what you are learning, and where you feel like you are having trouble. From there, I work to discover the true root of the misunderstanding, as oftentimes present difficulties arise from shaky foundations. Once the root of your troubles are found, I explain the misunderstood concept in a personalized way, ensuring that you leave the session understanding how and why the concept works.
