About Anke

I am an educator and researcher with a passion for science, lifelong learning, and helping young people discover what they are capable of.

Through years of teaching, tutoring, research, and public engagement, I have seen that some of the most meaningful learning begins with a simple question and the opportunity to explore it without rushing to the next topic.

I bring together experience in science, education, and mentorship to create an environment where curiosity is nurtured, understanding is valued, and learners are encouraged to think deeply about the world around them.

About the lesson

I focus on the 'why' behind source material and place emphasis on the student's ability to formulate productive, insightful questions, and determine what evidence would help answer those questions. I delight in working with high school level learners that are eager to work beyond a set curriculum.
I primarily teach in English, and may also teach in Afrikaans when requested.
