About Zee
I am a PhD student specializing in audiovisual translation (English-Chinese) at Dublin City University. I have been teaching Chinese lessons to 6-13 year olds in a Chinese-teaching school in Dublin for two years. Meanwhile, I've been tutoring some adult students for over 3 years and I have experience in teaching basic, intermediate and advanced levels, and for exams. I also teach Chinese speaking, writing, and business conversation.

My main teaching philosophy is borrowed from our great philosopher Confucius - Teaching should be conducted in accordance with students' aptitudes. This means that the performance of students of different types and levels of ability in different learning situations is extremely complex, and requires teachers' experience and wisdom to design flexible methods of teaching according to their abilities. So for each student, I will test their skills first and come up with a plan based on their performance and willingness. I will use slides, flashcards, Quizlet quizzes and other audio and video stories in class.
