About Charlie

Hi,

I'm Charlie.

I am a PhD student at the University of Liverpool with a strong background across the sciences and technology. I genuinely enjoy tutoring and find it very rewarding to help students overcome challenges and grow in confidence.

Being closer in age to my students, I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and engaging with the material. I take pride in delivering well-structured, professional lessons that are tailored to each student’s needs and goals.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is student-centred, adaptable, and focused on building both confidence and deep understanding. As a PhD student at the University of Liverpool with a strong background across the sciences and technology, I aim to make complex concepts accessible, engaging, and relevant.

I tailor each session to the individual student’s needs, learning style, and goals. I typically begin by identifying gaps in understanding, then break topics down into clear, manageable steps.

Lessons usually last between 60–90 minutes, depending on the student’s level and focus. This allows enough time to cover material in depth while maintaining concentration and productivity.

I am currently a PhD student at the University of Liverpool with expertise across scientific and technical disciplines. My academic background has equipped me with advanced subject knowledge as well as strong analytical and communication skills. Being actively engaged in research also means I bring up-to-date knowledge and real academic insight into my teaching.

I work with a wide range of students, including:
GCSE and A-level students
Undergraduate students in science and technology subjects
Adult learners looking to improve their understanding

As a younger tutor, I find it easy to relate to students and create a comfortable, supportive learning environment where they feel confident asking questions and making progress.
