About Anna
I have obtained a 1st class BSc in Mathematics at the University of Birmingham, and am currently finishing up my PhD in Computer Science. I have taught university students mathematics and have been employed as a teaching associate at the University of Birmingham. During my undergrad I was a peer assisted study sessions leader, helping Mathematics students in their first year of university there with any questions they have. I have tutored online on tutorhunt and have helped students prepare for assessments, and achieve their goal grades. I'm trying out this platform/website for the first time, but bringing plenty of prior teaching experience! I'm understanding, patient and motivated.

I enjoy teaching and believe people who struggle with mathematics just need the right teaching approach. Countless times someone tells me they just "suck at maths" and it turns out to be because no teacher has taught it to them the right way for them. I have a strong understanding of Maths, and am patient and understanding enough to find the right approach for each individual. I have a real passion for maths and have had to work hard to understand concepts before, so I have learnt methods to understand it that I can pass on and help make maths make sense! Reviews of my tutoring I have received unprompted in the past: “ Anna explains very well, she is open to questions and tailors her teaching to the student`s needs; she also sets weekly homework.
