About Don Rajitha Malshan
I simply enjoy teaching and dream of becoming a lecturer one day after my finishing PhD.
I started as a Mining and Minerals processing Engineer back in Sri Lanka where I specialized in Remote sensing and GIS. (Remote sensing is pretty much the stuff involving satellite images and things in simple).
I worked in Thailand as a Research Associate where I taught students from USA, India, Sudan, Laos, Tajikistan and many more about using Data for different applications like agriculture and disaster risk assessment.
Later I came to Australia to learn more about Statistics and Data Science and currently doing my PhD.
I learn more myself when I teach and love how different individuals view the same problem in different angles.
We live in a world of big data and a data science revolution. Why not enjoy it while we learn?
