About Joy
I am a PhD student in Food science. I am a nutritionist by previous training, and i went on to study consumer food sciences at the University of Otago with marketing, statistics and psychology. I am currently an academic tutor and demonstrator, teaching third year students new product development.

I always teach my students to follow the objectives and main learning outcomes of the topic. I then try and understand the challenges my student has, be it understanding a particular concept or topic, before we zoom into making things simple and easy to remember and grasp. I enjoy helping my students develop in other areas such as career advice within the food sector.
