Katy was my general chemistry tutor my first year of college, and continued as my tutor all the way through both semesters of organic chemistry. Her love for chemistry is extremely apparent and directly translates into her teaching ability. Because of Katy, I went from failing my first gen chem test to switching my major to chemistry. Katy is the best tutor. She is professional, and great at teaching, but also great at connecting with her students. She is always finding ways to provide resources that will help her students in the long run, while providing her own experience and knowledge. She writes down everything she explains and makes sure you have a copy. As someone who is more of a hands on/visual learner, she made sure to tutor me by drawing things out, not just talking through subject matter. Katy is proactive in making sure you are consistently understanding, she never makes you feel incompetent, and always checks up on how you are doing in classes. Best tutor hands down!!
