About Claudia
I am a student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee pursuing my PhD in Biological Sciences with a focus on Cell and Molecular Biology. I obtained my BS in genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I have extensive experience tutoring in the life sciences and currently work as laboratory teaching assistant for a second semester introductory biology course. My students score very well in my portion of the course and I have received excellent evaluations and reviews from them. Additionally, I take upper level science classes as part of my program and perform research.

I base my teaching method on the hourglass model. Obtaining a broad foundation, then going into the finer details before broadening again to real world applications. I believe it is vital to understand your biology fundamentals before moving on to more complex topics. I am well versed in the scientific method and research methods, as well as scientific writing. I love to culture scientific minds!
