About Jim
As an educator, I believe that science is not just a body of facts, but a way of thinking. I believe that it is important for students not only to achieve at science, but to realize that science is not just something that's done in a laboratory; it's all around them, in their phones, their computers, their music and movies. With this understanding, not only can they achieve in class, but they can move beyond exams, to become thinking citizens, with an appreciation for all facets of scientific investigation, for all their powers and subtleties.
That is my one wish for the students in my classes.
