About Joe

I am currently doing a PhD in plasma physics and nuclear fusion with the University of York (based at Culham, Oxfordshire). Before this, I achieved a first-class Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sheffield. I am an aspiring teacher and want to help students from GCSE all the way to Master's degree level. Most importantly, I have a real passion for the subjects and have an in-depth knowledge over a broad range of topics. I believe I can really help you achieve the best grades possible. I have been teaching friends and family maths and science for 5 years (helping my younger siblings and cousins with maths and science from GCSE to university level) and have tutored privately also. I have a good understanding of the best way to teach these subjects and I am always looking to improve my lessons!

About the lesson

My main goal for teaching is to make the lessons as interesting and engaging as possible (because this stuff really can be fascinating!). I believe this way, students get the most out of their time and learn some cool things along the way.
