About Hareth
I hold a PhD in theoretical physics and have 20 years of experience teaching math and physics to science and engineering students, earning numerous best teaching awards. My teaching experience spans both practical and theoretical physics, as well as introductory and advanced math for electrical, telecommunication, and biomedical engineering at the Lebanese International University. I have taught in China for three years, gaining insights into their educational system, and have also taught IB physics in Rabat, Morocco. Currently, I teach AP physics and IGCSE in China. My expertise includes teaching various math courses for engineers, such as Calculus I, II, III, Linear Algebra, Statics and Dynamics, Differential Equations, Advanced Math, Probability and Statistics, and Numerical Methods, as well as physics courses for physics/math majors, including College Physics I and II, Electricity and Magnetism, Vibrations and Waves, Mathematical Physics, Quantum Mechanics, and Electrodynamic Theory.

Pedagogy is central to my teaching philosophy, where I invest significant time in breaking down complex concepts into simpler, accessible forms. Inspired by Feynman's quote, "If you don’t explain it simply, you probably don’t understand it well enough," and Einstein's, "Everything should be kept as simple as possible but no simpler," I prioritize clarity. My most effective teaching methods include the inquiry approach, presenting fundamental concepts as paradoxes to engage students, and teaching science with a philosophical perspective to connect physics with other subjects. I also find that presenting facts and theories within a historical narrative aids understanding, and emphasize practice through worksheets to reinforce learning. Additionally, I address common misconceptions from high school to ensure a solid foundation.
