About Sam
I am a current Music PhD student at King's College, London. I have been teaching privately for the past 4 years and used to teach composition at The Purcell School for Young Musicians. I have experience in teaching individual instrumental lessons and am experienced teaching oboe, recorder, composition, music theory, and beginner piano, flute, and voice. I am also confident in teaching a majority of entrance exams, including the 11+ and entrance interviews for Oxford and Cambridge humanities students. I studied Music at Oxford University and have a master’s degree in Composition from Royal Holloway, University of London. I am able to do lessons online and in person and am comfortable adapting my style to fit the pupil. I have worked for ABRSM and am very knowledgeable of all their syllabuses. I have also taught a wide variety of A-Level and GCSE syllabuses for Music.
