About Alena
I have PhD in mathematics and I am currently working at the Engineering Department, University of Cambridge. I have experience working as a tutor and a lecturer in Moscow State University for 5 years. I have been supervising Maths subjects for first and second year undergraduate students at the University of Cambridge. Also I have been privately tutoring for different levels from secondary school to master program for more than 10 years.
I am very passionate about mathematics and have studied, researched and taught it throughout school, university and my career. I am enjoying teaching mathematics, trying to explain difficult concepts in a simple way and to motivate students to love mathematics as much as I do.

I am tutoring A-level Further Maths and STEP Maths online.
I take an individual approach for each student depending on their level and personal characteristics. I am patient, understanding, encouraging, eager and happy to help. My students improve their confidence and skills in maths to achieve the best results.
