I’m a PhD from University of Sydney. I’m a qualified and experienced HSC Mathematics teacher and tutor. I have been teaching for more than 22 years with an excellent record of students achieving band 6. I enjoy helping students to reach and exceed their potential.

About the lesson

I am a qualified and experienced HSC Mathematics teacher and tutor. I have been teaching for more than 22 years with an excellent record of students achieving band 6. I teach all the HSC courses of Mathematics such as Standard, Advanced, Extension 1, and Extension 2 Mathematics. As a tutor, I am results-oriented and can share the enjoyment of learning the subject. I have a thorough knowledge of every topic and can explain every concept in detail that allows students to completely comprehend and remember. Furthermore, I present examples that help students to understand the concepts and methods in mathematics. I also teach students every topic from fundamental to advanced principles. I concentrate on utilizing information and interpreting data to help students solve problems. I also explain how to model equations from given information and to construct diagrams to solve mathematical problems. I know the HSC syllabus for each mathematics course in detail and thoroughly explain every topic in a comprehensive manner. For Standard Mathematics, I focus on algebraic techniques, linear functions networks, trigonometry, nonlinear functions, financial mathematics, statistics and data, probability, ratio and rates, bivariate data, and measurement. For Advanced Mathematics, I teach algebraic techniques, trigonometry, functions, differential calculus, integral calculus, statistical analysis and data, logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions, probability, probability distribution, and application of calculus to the physical world. Additionally, I can teach students how to apply principles to solve problems as well as thinking critically for mathematical reasoning. Every module in the Standard 2, Advanced Mathematics, Extension 1, and Extension 2 is covered in a structured and step-by-step manner. I also provide topic tests and practice papers as well as past papers and trial papers. I have a vast range of resources which exposes students to various types of questions and problems.
