About Narges

As an engineer with a background in research, I understand how difficult it can be to follow what teachers expect you to learn—because I’ve been there too. Even though I performed well in school, I sometimes struggled to feel engaged with the material. That’s why I approach tutoring by focusing on understanding the "why" behind the formulas, not just memorizing them. I believe that once you grasp the logic behind a problem, learning becomes more interesting—and even fun! My goal is to spark your curiosity and help you see math not as a set of rules to follow, but as a set of ideas to explore. Let’s work together to build your understanding and confidence in math, one concept at a time.

About the lesson

Hi, I'm Narjes, and I hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering with extensive experience teaching at the university, secondary school, and high school levels. With a background in engineering and research, I understand that learning math isn’t always easy—and it doesn’t have to be about memorizing formulas without understanding. My teaching philosophy focuses on helping students grasp the logic behind the concepts, so they can truly understand where formulas come from and why they work. I know from personal experience that math can sometimes feel challenging and uninspiring, even if you're scoring well. My goal is to help you feel curious and engaged by making sense of the problems and solutions, which can make learning math more fun and rewarding. Whether you're struggling with the basics or want to dive deeper into advanced topics, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Let’s work together to build your confidence and unlock your potential in math!

I know Narges as she was the lecturer of the Data Science courses in college. Her comprehensive knowledge in match and algebra combined with her patience and fabulous teaching skill helped me in catching up with the course.
She identified and later explained the shortcomings in the understanding of the concepts rather than re-iterating the course material. This helped me have a good math foundation and later provided me a platform to easily understand the new concepts in Data Science.
I cannot recommend her enough as she was a brilliant tutor for me.
