About Dipanwita
Struggling with Chemistry? Let's make it simple, interesting, and enjoyable!
Hello! I'm Dr. Dipanwita Das, a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from IIT Bombay with 12+ years of teaching experience at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I specialize in Inorganic Chemistry, Bioinorganic Chemistry, Nanochemistry, and I have published 20 research papers in reputed journals.
I believe that every student can excel in chemistry with the right guidance. My teaching focuses on building strong concepts rather than memorization. I explain difficult topics in a simple, step-by-step manner using diagrams, real-life examples, flowcharts, and interactive discussions. My lessons are designed to make students feel confident, ask questions freely, and enjoy the learning process.
I teach:
School students (Classes 11–12)
B.Sc. and Engineering students
M.Sc. Chemistry students
Students preparing for CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, SET, and IIT-JAM
Anyone who wants to strengthen their understanding of chemistry
In every class, I provide clear explanations, personalized support, regular practice questions, and exam-oriented strategies. I adapt my teaching style to each student's pace and learning needs because I understand that every learner is different.
Whether you need help improving your grades, preparing for competitive exams, completing university coursework, or exploring advanced topics in chemistry, I am committed to helping you achieve your goals with patience, professionalism, and encouragement.

Teaching Approach and Knowledge Sharing
My teaching philosophy is based on creating an interactive, student-centered learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, ask questions, and develop a genuine interest in chemistry. I believe that effective teaching goes beyond delivering content; it involves inspiring curiosity, connecting theoretical concepts with real-world applications, and building students' confidence in solving scientific problems.
Teaching Techniques and Methods
I employ a combination of traditional and modern teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles. These include:
Interactive lectures supported by multimedia presentations, animations, and concept maps.
Inquiry-based and problem-based learning to promote analytical thinking.
Real-life examples and case studies, particularly in inorganic chemistry, nanochemistry, and bioinorganic chemistry.
Classroom discussions, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative learning activities.
Regular quizzes, MCQs, and problem-solving exercises to reinforce concepts.
Integration of current research findings and recent scientific developments into classroom teaching.
Laboratory demonstrations and discussions on experimental techniques whenever applicable.
Usual Structure of a Class
A typical class is organized as follows:
Introduction (5–10 minutes): Brief recap of previous concepts and introduction to the day's topic with motivating examples.
Concept Development (25–30 minutes): Detailed explanation using diagrams, molecular models, presentations, and interactive questioning.
Application and Discussion (10–15 minutes): Connecting concepts with industrial applications, environmental issues, medical chemistry, or recent research.
Student Interaction (10 minutes): Problem-solving, short activities, group discussions, or concept-based questions.
Summary and Assessment (5–10 minutes): Review of key points, quick quiz or MCQs, clarification of doubts, and assignment of follow-up exercises.
